About the Business

Peter's background is in sound design. He began as an assistant recording engineer in Brighton in the 1980s, before moving abroad to work in the Middle East and then Paris. He returned to England in the 1990s to become chief engineer at Revolver Music and a freelance music producer. He built up his extensive knowledge of high-end sound design while working as a Studio Manager for BBC Birmingham at Pebble Mill, where he recorded, mixed or produced over 1,000 programmes for the BBC.

In 1997 he founded Monty Funk Productions, and since then he has since been breaking boundaries in sound design for heritage interpretation projects around the UK.
